MEET THE OWNER
My name is Dejon Cage and I am from Zachary, LA. I am the proud owner of DC Eats and "Da Hole". I started my cooking journey at the age of 7 and had mastered the basics by age 12. The rest was history.
I am a product of a single parent home and my mother, Danita Cage, is the reason I am where I am today. In October of 2018, I decided to quit my job of 5 years at Hollywood Casino. God told me to move and that's just what I did. In February of 2019, God placed the keys to my restaurant in my hand and that's how I knew it was meant to be. I was scared but God reassured me every step of the way. During the process, I have to say I was nervous, happy, sad, all over the place being that I was doing this alone. It felt GOOD knowing that I did it alone, too. No handouts, no loans, ALL ME!
